Five Resolutions...

...that I shall stick to this summer

1. Try not to spend too much money. I have enough clothes, shoes, makeup to last me a lifetime (or through the rest of the season...?). I have a whole library down the street filled with books. I have netflix. I also have an internship that may or may not be an 8am-7pm workday. I don't need souvenirs. I don't need anything besides the necessary toiletries and foodstuffs, so I will stick to that thank you very much.

2. Read a little bit of my macroeconomics textbook each day. Hey, might as well try to get some reading done ahead of schedule for next semester...

3. Stay active. I want to start taking walks with my dog and shooting hoops with my father and brother. Also, my summer job involves kids, so that my keep me on my toes as well. ;)

4. Take time for creative writing. It's something I kind of stopped doing when college started. I hope to get back into the swing of things. Maybe finally finish a journal, for once?

5. Get my hair back to a healthy state. I recently went in for a trim...the first time since last summer. Of course, my super-nice hairdresser yelled at me for 10 hours about how unhealthy my hair was. Dead. Split ends. I wasn't using the right shampoo. The whole drill. This summer, that will change.

Happy June, everyone! As a bonus, this may or may not be what I do whenever I need a little bit of a pick me up. :)

Now, if you will excuse me, I need to go wash my hair with some of that delicious-smelling shampoo sample the salon gave me. And whoa, I just looked it up...I thought it would be one of those super expensive, luxury shampoos salons always want you to buy...but, no, this is a happy surprise*.

*In the spirit of resolution #1, no, I will not be buying any of this shampoo until all the other shampoos in my house have been completely used up!
